(English) According to Gasparou came across Ezperaza Market last Sunday.  We had heard of it; in fact people raved about it.  We felt sure that if it was as good as any of the other markets we had visited we would be impressed. Markets in France are quite an occasion and all of such a high standard it is hard to find one that out does another.  So eventually we got round to going and it was, and is, the best market we have come across yet.  Obviously you have to go to get a sense of what we mean.  There is a buzz to this little town on market day.

(English) The Best Steak by Far

(English) I had been in the Aude going on a year and had not found it. It’s the national dish don’t forget, so everyone’s doing it, but that doesn’t mean a great deal! But then I did. Find it I mean; not purely by chance, because I’d been looking, but it was unexpected and so was all the more satisfying, a better steak than you can dream of eating!

For thirty years Roger et Françoise delivered a daily service that was as unfussy and straightforward as a restaurant could be… with a menu du jour at 12.50€ for three courses, bread and wine.
